Services - Passive MWD

Passive MWD is a method of combining the application of a Survey on Connection (SOC) system and an MWD (Measurements While Drilling) system into the same product and service.

The tool is installed into a wellbore to be run and provided as a service for the SOC application primarily. The tool is also configured and set-up for the eventual application as an MWD system while it is in the hole being used for SOC.

At some point during the drilling of the wellbore, the well path will deviate unnecessarily or possibly require intentional directional influence. At that time the operator communicates down to the SOC system and turns on the additional sensor/parameters required to turn the system into an MWD application. The MWD system is passive until required.

This application is unique in the industry.
